Daily 5 - READING TO SOMEONE

We have now introduced 'Reading to Someone' as part of the DAILY 5 programme. Children read to each other and then 'check understanding'. If they are the person listening to the story they retell/rephrase what they have heard. It's great for developing comprehension skills. I've noticed that children have also got much better at ensuring they are choosing 'Good Fit' books for themselves; books that are at the right reading level. As you can see from these photos they are really engaged and love learning with a friend! 

Stop Motion Animator at The Mind Lab

At the end of last term we had a great session learning how to use "Stop Motion Animator" at The Mind Lab. We're planning to use this programme during our Inquiry Learning this term.

We're loving spending time BEING CREATIVE in Room 10!

This collage is made up of photo's of last term's school Technology Challenge (design an outfit to meet the Queen in using a roll of toilet paper!)  and from our Jarratt's Art programme. We are really excited to be seeing our CARNIVAL MASKS beginning to take shape after lots of planning to get our ideas flowing.
